Term dates for the next academic year do not currently include any TD Days.

Start to Finish

The School Day

Our school day begins when the gates open for parents at 8:30am. Registration takes place in classrooms at 8:40am with lessons starting promptly after this.

If for some reason you arrive late, please bring your child through the main entrance so that they can be signed in and join their class.

At the end of the day the school gates will be open by 3:05pm for parents to pick up their child(ren) at 3.10pm.

Any children who can’t find the person picking them up will be taken to the main office entrance.

A typical school day runs like this:

8.30am– Classroom doors open

8.40am – 8.50am – Registration and early morning work
8.50am – 10.30am – Session 1
10.30am – 10.45am – Break time
10.45am -12.30pm – Session 2

12.30pm – 1:30pm – Lunchtime
1:30pm – 3:10pm – Session 3
3:10pm – End of the school day

The school is open for 33 hours and 20 minutes per week

There are also many after school extra-curricular clubs which run until 4pm. These are communicated to parents termly.

Uniform

In Reception class, children should wear a school jumper or cardigan with a white polo shirt. Trousers, skirts, pinafores and shorts should be grey. There is an optional royal blue tartan skirt which can be bought directly from our supplier CoolCatsClothing. In the summer, girls can wear a navy summer dress. There is no requirement for ties in our Reception class due to the play-based nature of the Early Years curriculum. 

In Years 1-6, boys should wear a school jumper with a white collared shirt and tie. They should wear grey trousers or shorts and black school shoes.

In Years 1-6, girls should wear a school jumper or cardigan with a white collared shirt and tie. They can wear grey skirts, trousers or pinafores or a royal blue tartan skirt available direct from our supplier. Tights should be grey or navy and school shoes should be black, flat and sensible (no slip-ons, open toes or heels.) Navy summer dresses are permitted in the summer months.

In PE lessons the children will need to wear a Princecroft navy PE shirt worn with black shorts. There is an optional hoodie which you may want to purchase which is useful when the weather gets colder. Black or navy leggings can be worn in the winter months.

Hair ties and clips should be neutral or in the school colours.
